When Sarah Miller, Morat Derech at Congregation Kol Emeth in Palo Alto, California, contacted Pinnacle Drone Light Shows, she had a vision: give her congregation a unique holiday experience. At a time when drone light shows were still unfamiliar to many, Sarah recognized their potential to bring people together.
We welcomed the opportunity to create a custom performance for the Kol Emeth community. However, the synagogue’s residential setting meant a large-scale drone show was not feasible. Trees, bird activity, and radio interference presented additional challenges that required careful planning.
Drone light shows are often measured by scale—1,000, 5,000, even 10,000 aircraft filling the sky. Those spectacles have their own power. Kol Emeth presented a different creative challenge: how much magic and wonder could we create with only six drones? The answer was not about size. It was about thoughtful choreography, the right setting, and a performance created specifically for the people watching.
Our solution was a show designed specifically for the location, using just six drones. Working within the site’s limitations, we delivered a memorable performance that demonstrated how a small fleet could make a meaningful impression.
The connection continued beyond the show. We were invited back for a hands-on presentation, giving congregation members the opportunity to see the drones up close, handle the equipment, and learn about the technology behind the performance.
What began as a single event developed into a lasting friendship with Sarah, who has become one of Pinnacle’s strongest advocates and client references. For us, Kol Emeth illustrates the value of a drone show beyond entertainment: bringing a community together, sparking curiosity, and building relationships that last.
